Film dimulai dengan masa-masa Kabul, Afghanistan masih dalam keadaan damai. Sebelum diserang rusia dan sebelum dikuasai thaliban.

Kabul is a beautiful city that time. Apalagi film bermula dengan cerita persahabatan dua bocah laki-laki hassan dan amir. Hassan dan ayahnya bekerja di rumah Amir. Hassan selain sebagai pelayannya amir, dia juga menjadi teman yang setia kepada amir. Hassan adalah anak suku hazara, yang di afghanistan mereka menjadi suku terpinggirkan.

Orang-orang hazara merupakan sekumpulan muslim syiah yang hidup dilingkungan Afghanistan yang muslim sunni, mereka terpinggirkan, bekerja pada pekerjaan-pekerjaan kecil yang jarang diminati orang. Karena dipandang rendah oleh orang afghan lainnya, mereka sendiri bahkan percaya/menerima nasibnya kalau mereka memang pantas dianggap seperti itu. (National Geography Indonesia, Februari 2008).

Hassan sangat setia pada amir, bahkan selalu melakukan apapun untuk membelanya, menuruti apapun katanya, namun amir juga baik kepada Hassan. The point is persahabatan yang mereka miliki indah. Hingga suatu hari, sekelompok anak yang selalu mengejek amir dan Hassan melakukan tindakan kekerasan fisik dan kekerasan seksual kepada Hassan. Amir yang pada saat itu juga melihat kejadian tersebut tak berani berbuat apa-apa, hanya mengintip, kemudian pergi dari tempat itu. Setelah kejadian tersebut, Hassan tidak memberitahukan pada siapapun, demikian juga amir, tidak menanyakan apapun ada Hassan. Bahkan mungkin karena rasa bersalahnya yang selalu menghantui, amir menjauhi Hassan, dan selalu melakukan usaha untuk mengusir Hassan dan ayahnya dari rumah. Sesaat setelah berhasil mengusir Hassan, Kabul dimasuki Rusia. Ayah amir yang selalu terbuka menentang komunis adalah sasaran mereka, maka amir dan ayahnya segera meninggalkan kabul.

Amir dan ayahnya melakukan perjalanan melewati Pakistan dan akhirnya menetap di Amerika hingga amir dewasa, menikah, ayahnya meninggal,dan akhirnya amir yang sejak kecil suka menulis berhasil menerbitkan buku pertamanya. Pada saat itu amir mendapat telepon dari rahim khan, sahabat ayahnya, yang memintanya untuk pulang. Amir bertemu Rahim khan di Pakistan, dalam keadaan sakit, rahim khan menceritakan sebuah rahasia yang berkaitan dengan ayahnya dan hassan, dan amir harus menjemput seorang anak yang saat ini masih berada di Kabul, yang pada saat itu telah dikuasai oleh Taliban.

The ending…, nonton sendiri aja yah, he he he. Secara film ini bikin aku nangis 3x kayak minum obat, sehari tiga kali.

Banyak sekali yang bisa dilihat dari film ini, dan yang paling indah adalah masa-masa kecil Hassan dan amir, dimana Kabul merupakan sebuah kota yang cantik, damai, anak-anak dengan bebasnya bermain layangan, dan permainan tersebut menjadi favorit seluruh kota, ada pertandingannya, seluruh kota antusias menonton anak-anak yang gembira bermain layangan. Kemudian ada suku hazara yang merupakan warga kelas dua, mendapatkan perlakuan tidak adil, dari sebelum pendudukan Rusia, dikuasai thaliban, hingga sampai ke imigran Afghanistan di Amerika, mereka masih aja diposisikan seperti itu.

North Country

Seorang wanita bernama Josey, yang berjuang di pengadilan demi mendapatkan hak yang sesuai baginya, bagi perempuan, di tempatnya bekerja di pertambangan di wilayah tambang north country.

Pekerja perempuan di pertambangan (tempat yang penuh dengan pekerja laki-laki)mendapatkan banyak sekali masalah pelecehan, hak-haknya sama sekali tidak diperhatikan, diabaikan. Hal-hal seperti kata-kata tak senonoh, physically sexual harassment, ancaman, pendapatnya dianggap remeh, dll.

Josey adalah janda dengan dua anak. Dia lari dari rumah suaminya karena tak tahan akan perlakuan kasar suaminya. Pukulan terakhir yang mendarat diwajahnya, membuatnya terkapar dilantai dapur dan membulatkan tekadnya untuk pergi dan memutuskan hubungan pernikahan. Josey pulang ke rumah orang tuanya di north country, daerah pertambangan. Nasib membawanya bekerja di pertambangan tempat ayahnya bekerja. disanalah semua hal menjadi tersingkap. Setelah melalui serangkaian perlakuan yang tidak menyenangkan, josey akhirnya memutuskan untuk keluar dari pertambangan dan menuntut pertambangan tersebut ke pangadilan. Naluri sebagai seorang ibu yang harus membesarkan kedua anak-anaknya, rasa kebutuhan akan keamanan dalam bekerja juga rasa setia kawan terhadap teman-temannya yag masih bekerja sebagai buruh tambang, dan terutama rasa pegalnya setelah sekian lama dilecehkan oleh laki-laki dan segala macam institusi, hukum, peraturan dan apalah yang selalu berdiri kokoh merugikan perempuan.

Josey berhasil membuka pengadilan atas kasus yang diajukannya. Dan di pengadilan itu terungkap kisah sedih josey. Karena josey dituduh sebagai perempuan dengan latar belakang kehidupan seksual yang kurang baik (josey hamil pada usia 16 tahun, ketika masih smu, tanpa seorangpun tahu siapa bapak dari anak yang dikandungnya), maka terkuaklah masa lalu josey, bahwa ternyata josey diperkosa oleh gurunya, pacarnya sempat melihat hal tersebut, namun karena pengecut, diacuhkan saja dan pergi meninggalkan josey yang sedang meronta ketakutan. Pada akhirnya josey memenangkan kasus tersebut, mendapatkan dukungan dari keluarga dan teman-teman yang sebelumnya merasa terlalu takut untuk mendukungnya. Josey mendapatkan banyak uang dari kemenangannya tersebut. Para pekerja perempuan di pertambangan mendapatkan uang kesepakatan dan menyusul peraturan-peraturan yang dapat membawa keadaan lebih baik bagi para pekerja perempuan.

She’s very tough woman. Dengan serangkaian kejadian pelecehan oleh laki-laki, dimulai dari usia belasan tahun diperkosa gurunya di sekolah, diabaikan oleh pacarnya, didera KDRT oleh suaminya, kehilangan keperecayaan ayahnya, dilecehkan oleh para pekerja dan pihak perusahaan tambang, dibenci oleh anak laki-lakinya. What a long terror of man. If I were josey, I’m not going to the court, I bombed every man I met, and I don’t care wether they don’t trust me or hate me. Such a nightmare. I wondering, probably woman are designed to be powerful creature, tahan berbagai macam hal, pukulan, hinaan, kekasaran fisik, dll. Nice movie, seems so real. Ya it must be some real condition that not just women in mine has it, but also in almost all sector that male dominated, women are being underestimate.

From this movie we seen there’s a lot of issues that it brought in front of us, as the problems that women faces but they don’t stand up for what they should have to. They kept silent. Like when josey got raped by her teacher, she just kept that as secret, she frightened. And what happened in her marriage, most of woman being dependen to their housband, tryin to always save their marriage for some irrational reasons, such as despite kid from being broken home children, economical dependency because they don’t work and the main financial source is their housband, still love the same guy they met five years ago that time he seems nice guy, or feeling shame for the family namesake, afraid of widow status. For such nonsense reason they keep themselves in such long period of misery life. And also society that feel like it is not suitable, for women to work in such field that full of man, some rough work, so the women there very possible to be risky for bad accuse, if there’s any harassment, they must judge that it’s the women who become the trigger that lead man to do such bad things. While society are also contain of women, this women’s brother, father, friend, boyfriend, son, but it is natural for them to put the first suspicious thougth for the women.

So woman, never be afraid to say if there’s anything bad happened to you, those who do that must be punished, and woman should have things to do as the financial source, so there is no word economically dependency in your dictionary, and when anything bad happened in marriage, try to think rational, wether it’s worthed to keep or to let it go, and when anything bad in society involving woman, please don’t judge woman on the first place of being bad accused, without seing the whole fact.

Pyaar ke movie, lekin bahut gam hogaya.

Staring by esha deol and hritik roshan. Played as two people that just knoweach other by accident, by the comment that esha wrote in a book at the library and she wrote also her name (and that’s not good attitude as example, cause it will cause damaged to the book), and so hritik read the book, he also like it, then he said his comment to the whoever who write the comment on that book, in some radio show. On that time esha and her friends listening to that radio, she got very happy to know that somebody reply her. And she also phoned the radio, and after sometimes they made arrangement to meet. who milna taqdir nahihai, they come not at the same time. So when esha come she just got hritik’s PO (Post office)box address. Aur ye pyaar kahani aanaa hai.

Letter by letter, chupke pyaar agaya. Life by air happening also life by real. Esha’s father company needs photographer to make advertisement and esha who deal with it, so she ask a well known photographer that by accident it was hritik. At first hritik don’t want to go to Pune, the city of esha, of the friend that he know by mail. But hritik had a friend since childhood, played by Saif ali khan. This saif is a playboy, he had great fun with lot of girl, so saif’s parents decide this playboy has to marry somebody so he could fix his attitude (ooo..ooo….wrong accused). Then by accident this somebody are esha, so saif’s parents ask hritik to go to Pune to investigate is the girl name ashe fit for saif or not. Then there he go, hritik go to Pune, meet esha, while he and she never know that they already know each other a lot by mail. They don’t know.

And so life goes, they become friend, they had figth, they laugh, they do many things, while they also write to each other in the letter about their new friend, wich is that them selves. Confused haaahhh…

Yea…. and that day come, where esha know that hritik comes to investigate her, and she think that his friendship is not pure. So she got angry of him. And she wrote to her friend on mail, that they should meet, that she thinks she need him, cause in some time the parent will have her to engange. And so in esha’s engagement day, they promised to meet in a temple. But what happened is really shocked and so sad. Hrithik, he first found out that his mail friend were esha when he saw her sit on the temple waiting for him, and he cries, and he decides to not meet her, he leaves her, without let her know the truth. On the name of friendship, he abandoned his love.

They both hurt, pain, feel burden of love. And life continue, saif likes esha, he turn to a better man. But hritik becomes more quiet person, and esha still wondering why her mail friend didn’t come that day, and after that never contact her anymore. Esha go to the post office, where the box of her mail friend addressed, and the postman said the owner has decide to no longer rent that box address. And the only information that esha could get from the post office is his cellphone number. Esha call him, and in the middle of that phone, Oh my God the song of Jaa Sanam palyed, it’s really sad moment. It is really sad, when you love somebody that really love you, but for some reason you can not posses that love, it’s so pathetic. In that phone conection, esha talk so much and hrithik just in silent, while they both crying. And finally hritik said that he must go, and he really leave India. Esha follow her destiny to marry with saif. And so the time passed, saif in recreation to some country, where by accident he meet his old friend Hritik on hritik’s photography exhibition. Saif is carrying his son, and he really excite to meet hritik, and he very surprised to see one of the big picture in hritik’s exhibition is the picture of esha. And hritik tryin to explain, but saif has understand all, then he said to hritik, that he should run to cacth his love, and hritik don’t understand, until saif’s wife come, and he see that saif not marrying esha, he marry with someother girl. Esha refused to marry in the last minutes of the wedding, saif said. And so hritik got back to India.

And finally, like almost india movie, they met each other in some romantic way, and they are attend the happy ending.

Down Fall

Adalah film yang berkisah tentang masa-masa berakhirnya kekuasaan Hitler. Dilihat dari kacamata seorang gadis yang bekerja sebagai sekertaris Hitler. Film ini menurutku menggambarkan Hitler sebagai sosok seorang Pejuang tua yang berusaha mengingkari akan kekuasaannya yang sudah diambang kehancuran. Menolak menerima kenyataan bahwa apa yang selama ini dibanggakan dan diperjuangkan akan segara runtuh

Hitler, dalam film ini, terlihat sebagai sosok rapuh yang masih saja sombong. Begitu juga istrinya Eva, yang baru dinikahinya diambang kehancuran kejayaannya. Eva juga serapuh Hitler, namun dia menolak menerima kenyataan dengan cara bersenang-senang, berpesta. Satu yang membuat salut, kesetiaannya pada Hitler melebihi apapun, bahkan ketika Hitler memutuskan eksekusi suami dari adik yang sangat disayanginya. Eva juga mengikuti Hitler kemanapun dia pergi, ketika Hitler menolak untuk meninggalkan Berlin walaupun mereka tahu sebentar lagi Berlin akan jatuh ke tangan musuh. Juga ketika Hitler memutuskan untuk bunuh diri, sepertinya sama sekali tak didiskusikan dengan Eva, tetapi Eva langsung bisa mengerti dan tanpa banyak kata-kata mengikuti hal yang dilakukan Hitler tersebut.

Hitler, walaupun seorang yang kejam, dengan ego rasisnya, menurutku dia memiliki sisi baik juga, however dia kan tetap seorang manusia. Di film itu terlihat dia begitu baik dan pengertian terhadap sekretarisnya, juga begitu baik kepada anak-anak kecil, juga begitu menghargai semangat patriotisme. Hanya saja kekurangannnya adalah dia terlalu memaksakan kehendaknya, tidak ingin mendengarkan pertimbangan dari pihak lain, dan ini membuatnya menjadi seseorang yang sangat tegas.

Well, jadi ingin tahu lebih banyak lagi tentang Hitler.

“ I wanna keep going” that’s what Collin said, as the reason he don’t wanna come back, he wanna see the other part of this world, he wanna continue his journey.

Collin, is an ordinary man, simple, and good heart. His wife betrayed him, probably because he is too ordinary. His ambition to play …. In the city named Blackpool, he practising, obsessed with the game, he almost take no notice to his wife. That’s awfull, and probably that is also another reason for his wife to get affair with other man. Fooled by his ambition, his wife being taken, and poorly he also can not join the team for the game to blackpool. He lost both.

Collin feels that he don’t wanna loose his wife, so he chased her. He go to blackpool, where his wife and his friend attended the games. In this journey using an old motorcycle, he began to realized, things he met, opened his eyes.

I remember when Che doing his journey with his friend Alfredo. It’s alike with what Collin do, they using motorcycle, and in the middle of the journey, they have to left it, cause it no more afford to go. And also the first aim of the journey has no longer be the point, once they ride, and already found what they looking for, after that nothing impress more, than the journey it selfes.

In the street, Collin meets things, people, advice, beautiful views, help, problems, friends, knowledge, hope,trust, kids, love, adventure, and manny more, and he enjoy it. He found life.

The Ron Clark Story

I’ve watched this kind of movie, several times.

Kali ini seorang guru, names Ron Clark, looking for job in NY and then he got one, in public school. Precisely at the NY Bronx area. Same path, like most stories like this, this man come in to a crowded and helpless situation. And he be a hero, save the student, makes them like the school, and makes them realize what are they got from school.

There’s several movies like this, that I know, but it never makes me bored. Cause in their every effort they have their own method, and the different situation (basicly it’s the same situation, but in fact, in details they are different situations) are very unique, makes the method of conflict resolutions seems keep interesting.

Being a teacher, it’s not just teaching. But it has to be agent of change, facilitating people to be better with their own effort, ways, desire. To know what they really wanna do. In this field the subject are children. And that’s a plus marked. Cause children are fabulous, they are seed of unknown plant, and teacher help them to grow, to be whatever plant they want to be. To be brave and to proud of them selves. To have skills, achievement and be proud of it.

Watching this movie, these kind of movies, always makes me wanna be teacher. It’s a precious profesion, a honourable one.

the break up

This is story about love time of two people. First they met, the man seduce and convience the woman about opportunity of a relationship. And they made a relationship, they feels happy, they lived together. And the middle of their way of having relation, they faced that there are things that makes them not enjoy the relation.

They both working, after work the woman always take care of the house, while the man just busy with video games. Such problems like that, things that they cant discuss it in proper way. This little obstacle became a big wave for their relation. In a time it has accumulated, they blowed it. Each other feel tired of fighting to keep the relationship going well. Anger, bad words, bad attitude, comes in a sudden, they figth and finally decided to break up.

While waiting for their condo, that they bougth together being sale, they still live together. The woman still want to have the relation back to what it was, but she done wrong things to get it back. She makes fake dates so the man could jealous, but things turn to be not as she hope for. And when she gave up, she invite the man to a concert, in ways to make some peace. But the man didn’t show up, and that’s make her cryin terribly, the man saw it, and he feel guilty. And he realized that he had made mistake, that he still in love with her.

While the man made plan to tell the woman what he feel. The woman has made up her mind, to really let go everything, to feel no such thing about her love. So when the man tell his feeling, the woman has nothing to feel. And finally there’s someone who wants to buy the condo. So they move from the condo, they really break up, live separated, live on their own life.

And in the end of the movie, they met again, and seems still attracted to each other. But now, they had refreshed, full with happy, no longer bring the burden of carriying relationship. And in my opinion , they are ready, very ready to again have their new relationship.

I guess this is very nice movie, especially for them who in a relationship, should watch it together. I think the point is, in every relationship like that, we really need to communicate, and please look for the nice way to communicate, the way that both person like it. And If you love somebody, just tell it, don’t just makes other things like sign or attitude to express it, that can make people miss understand.
